Planting, mulching and garden beds

New plantings, clean edges and fresh mulch that make the whole property look finished.

Planting and design

We plant trees, shrubs, perennials and seasonal color, and can lay out a new bed or rework an old one. We plant for the spot: sun, soil and how much upkeep you want.

  • Landscape design and installation
  • Trees, shrubs and perennials
  • Seasonal flowers for entrances and signs

Mulch and bed maintenance

Fresh mulch once or twice a year keeps weeds down and holds moisture. We cut a clean edge first so it stays where it belongs.

  • Mulch installation (color and type of your choice)
  • Bed edging and weeding
  • Hedge trimming and shrub pruning

Questions

When should mulch go down?

Spring is most common, after cleanup and before summer weeds. A light top-up in fall works too.

How deep should mulch be?

About 2 to 3 inches. Deeper than that can smother roots, and it should never be piled against tree trunks.

Can you plant in fall?

Yes. Fall is a good time for trees and shrubs in Bucks County because roots keep growing in cool soil.
